In 2025, working in partnership with Mudita Salus CIC, a Community Interest Company, I led a number of workshops giving women the opportunity to learn about tools, fixings and how to troubleshoot common problems, from my experience of house renovation and handyhelping.
During these workshops I introduced learnersto common hand tools, and a range of power tools. Each tool they were able to use and experience. I ran through different screw types and a range of fixings which included the opportunity to fix things to a plasterboard and brick wall, whilst using a detector to identify cables and pipes.
The learners finally used their new found knowledge to build a small pallet wood planter to take home with them.
Offering
I would like to offer bespoke learning in the place you would want to do DIY, and, where applicable, use your own tools. Where this is not applicable, my tools, fixing etc can be used.
I am happy to share my own knowledge of any of my offerings on the Handy Help page. Of course, every handyperson or tradesperson will have a different way of working. I can only share what (usually) works for me!
I am insured to teach people these skills.
